Thanks to Alan, I discovered this wonderful poet and man... and he would agree with what you have shared, it does seem, for here is what the man said:

It also turns out that he wrote other words which I have often found insightful, which is this: "no man is an island"...

I had attributed those two bits of wisdom to other writers. Thanks, Alan!
