No Fear

"What would you do if you were not afraid?"

If no one's feelings would be hurt
If no ill will would come your way
If nobody else really had a say

"What would you do if you were not afraid?"

It is never as bad as you anticipate
Even if it is
You handle it
And, eventually, everything will be okay

Fear is a valid emotion and can stimulate the senses as in this poem :>)

Reminded me (I don't know why!) of this poem that I first found in an anthology of poetry my grandfather gave me......

You have no enemies, you say?
Alas, my friend, the boast is poor;
He who has mingled in the fray
Of duty, that the brave endure,
Must have made foes! If you have none,
Small is the work that you have done.
You've hit no traitor on the hip,
You've dashed no cup from perjured lip,
You've never turned the wrong to right,
You've been a coward in the fight.

~ Charles MacKay (l814-l889)
